Detailed review of API features

I signed up for Geekflare primarily for the Real-time SERP API and a bit of the E-commerce Data API. The ordering process was straightforward, I picked a plan with enough credits for my initial testing. Integration was fairly easy with their documentation, I had it working in my application within a few hours. The data quality from the SERP API was excellent, very accurate and consistent with what I expected. For the E-commerce API, I found some of the fields to be a bit inconsistent across different platforms, but it was still usable after some data cleaning on my end. Support was responsive when I had a question about rate limits for a specific use case, answering within 6 hours. I appreciated the clear pricing structure and the ability to scale up or down as needed. Overall, a solid platform for developer tools.

Mostly good, some small snags

I got the AI Agent Builder to try out some custom agents. The platform itself is quite powerful and intuitive, and I managed to build what I needed. However, I did run into a small issue with one of the integrations taking a bit longer to connect than expected. Customer support was helpful in pointing me to the docs, but it took a day to sort out. Overall, I'm satisfied with the tools and the pricing is competitive for what you get.

Good value with free credits

I was looking for a cost-effective solution for web scraping and found Geekflare. The free API credits were a big plus, let me test things out without spending anything. I ended up getting the Scraping API and felt like I got good value for what I paid. It did what I needed.

Awesome AI tools!

Oh my gosh, I just tried the AI Model Hub and it's incredible! Getting access to GPT-4 and Claude 3 in one spot is amazing. The Multi-model Chat feature is super useful for my projects. I am absolutely going to use Geekflare again and have already told my developer friends about it. So glad I found this!

Consistent performance for APIs

I've been using Geekflare for a while now, mostly for their Search API and sometimes the Web Scraping API. This last order for more credits was just as smooth as the others. The APIs are reliable, and I haven't had any major issues with uptime or data quality. It's why I keep coming back, they're consistent.

How does Geekflare compare to Bright Data? I've been using Bright Data for a while but always open to better options.

M Megan M. 1 month ago
I switched from Bright Data to Geekflare for some of my scraping tasks. Geekflare felt a bit simpler to integrate for certain things, and their AI model hub is a plus if you need that too.

From what I hear, Geekflare focuses more on the AI integration alongside the scraping APIs. Bright Data is super robust for just scraping, but if you want to mix in AI stuff like Llama 3 or Claude, Geekflare might be better. Rate limits and pricing structure can be different too, so compare that.

Thinking about getting the annual plan for Geekflare. Is there usually a discount for paying for the whole year upfront?

K Kate W. 2 months ago
Yeah, typically you get a pretty good discount, like 20% off if you pay for the whole year. Makes sense if you're gonna use it long-term.

They almost always have an annual discount. It's a significant saving compared to monthly billing, something like 20% off. Worth it if you're sure about it.

Anyone know if you can stack coupons or discounts on Geekflare? Like, if I have a student discount and an annual plan discount, can I use both?

W Wendy Walsh 2 months ago
Nah, I don't think you can stack 'em. Usually, it's one discount per purchase or subscription, afaik.

T Tara Torres 2 months ago
Pretty sure they don't let you stack coupons. I tried to combine a referral bonus with an annual plan discount once and it didn't work. It's usually one big discount or incentive, not multiple small ones.

What's their refund policy if I buy credits and then decide it's not for me? Can I get my money back on unused credits?

J Jared Kaur 2 months ago
I think once you buy credits, they're non-refundable. You should probably use the free trial to be sure before buying a big credit pack.

Yeah, I'm pretty sure credits are generally not refundable. It's usually a use-it-or-lose-it situation once purchased, so make sure you're happy with the service during the free trial period.

Is there any way to try out Geekflare for free before committing to a plan? Just want to kick the tires a bit.

D Daisy 1 month ago
Yep, they have a free trial. I got some free API credits when I signed up last month, I think it was $5 or $10 worth?
3
E Emma 1 month ago
Definitely a free trial. You usually get some credits to play around with, so you can test out the APIs without spending anything. Check their site for the exact amount.

hey, anyone know if Geekflare is legit? like, for real AI access or just some glorified wrapper?

C Cleo Beaumont 1 month ago
Yeah it's legit, I've been using their API for a bit now. Access to GPT-4 and stuff is real.

M Marcus C. 1 month ago
Totally. My team uses it for scraping and some AI stuff, pretty solid. Not just a basic front-end for others, they have their own tech too.
